From June 26–28, OhtaniCanada had the incredible opportunity to be embedded with the Los Angeles Dodgers during their series against the San Diego Padres. It was an unforgettable experience and another amazing chapter in our journey as Canada’s largest Shohei Ohtani fan club.

One of the biggest highlights of the trip was staying at the same hotel as the team, giving us the rare opportunity to be in such close proximity to the players throughout the series. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we were continually amazed by how kind and approachable everyone was.

During our stay, we had the honour of having a special gift personally delivered to Shohei Ohtani’s suite to celebrate the recent birth of his son.

What truly made this trip so memorable was the generosity of the Dodgers players. They were incredibly friendly, took the time to chat with us, and showed genuine interest in learning about OhtaniCanada and our mission to support Shohei from north of the border.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Freddie Freeman, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Will Ireton for taking the time to have longer conversations with us, pose for photographs, and make us feel so welcome. Those moments are memories that our members will treasure for years to come.

Experiences like these remind us why baseball is so special. Beyond the excitement on the field, it’s the people, the connections, and the shared passion for the game that make this community so incredible.

Thank you to the Dodgers organization and everyone who made our San Diego trip so memorable. We can’t wait to continue cheering on Shohei and the Dodgers wherever the journey takes us next.
